Previously only known to aficionados for its amazing patisserie shop in Soho, Amato serves coffee with fantastic cakes and pastries in a quiet corner of Terminal 5. The new store also offers a cake ordering service. Order when you fly out and you cake will be ready to pick up on your return.
Apostrophe (Satellite Terminal 5B, after security)
Another first outside London, Apostrophe took the concept of a traditional French Boulangerie Patisserie, modernised it and perfected it. Try some of their gorgeous freshly baked bread, pastries and sandwiches. Or their best selling omelette-filled croissants and other delicious breakfast treats.
Carluccio’s (departures, before security)
Ever since opening their first Italian food shop in Covent Garden in 1991, Carluccio’s have served the very best in authentic fresh Italian cuisine. Tuck in to delicious antipasti, salads, pasta, meat and vegetarian dishes or pick up one of Carluccio’s ‘grab and go’ options. Plus there’s a special menu for kids.
Caviar House & Prunier Seafood Bar (gate level and Satellite Terminal 5B, after security)
As well as its core seafood offering, there is a focus on fresh, nutritional and energising ingredients with a new concept Juice Bar added on to its Satellite Terminal 5B restaurant. Gazpacho, a variety of breads, and fruit and vegetable smoothies will help re-hydrate the long haul traveller.
Gordon Ramsay ‘Plane Food’ (departures, after security)
Enjoy a menu based on Gordon Ramsay’s famous Boxwood Café. With amazing views across the runway and its own cocktail bar, this is a must visit for Terminal 5. Signature dishes include fried oysters with fennel and lemon, glazed asparagus, pea and leak tart and a veal and foie gras burger with cos lettuce, parmesan and chips.
Huxleys (departures, after security)
A new concept specifically developed for Terminal 5, the British Brasserie focuses on great British food and beverages and offers both traditional and regional menu choices. Highlights include afternoon tea and a children’s menu.
