EXPO
Art at Terminal 5
The EXPO area at Terminal 5 is a chance for us to support British arts and culture, as well as giving you a more pleasurable airport experience.
Best of British culture
Charles Byrne, Head of Sponsorship and Experience at BAA says, “We have created EXPO to add extra interest to the passenger’s journey and to celebrate the best of British culture, creativity and commerce. By offering a great experience for the traveller and building on the fantastic design of the building, EXPO is an essential part of Terminal 5.”
Constant evolution
The first piece of work on display at EXPO is a light installation by UnitedVisualArtists. It was sponsored by HSBC and inspired by the China Design Now exhibition (also sponsored by HSBC) at London’s V&A Museum. The display in the EXPO is constantly changing and evolving. The only limits on what we display are the limits of the imagination. So even if you’re a frequent flyer, expect to be constantly surprised and delighted by what you find at Terminal 5.
