Terminal 3

Another upgraded experience from British Airways

From 25 February 2009, a number of British Airways flights will operate out of our second London Heathrow base at Terminal 3. The terminal has recently undergone a multi-million pound transformation to ensure passengers continue to receive the excellent service and facilities they expect when flying with British Airways.

You’ll use Terminal 3 if you’re flying to or from:

  • Madrid
  • Barcelona
  • Helsinki
  • Lisbon
  • Nice*

In addition, the following two services currently operating from Terminal 5 will move to Terminal 3 on 29 March 2009:

  • Malaga
  • Vienna

*Services to Nice will subsequently move into Terminal 5 on 29 March 2009

Flights to and from Bangkok, Sydney and Singapore will move to London Heathrow Terminal 3 later in 2009.

Terminal 3 will become the London Heathrow oneworld hub, bringing together services from American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Royal Jordanian, Finnair and, later in 2009, Qantas.

Flight information

Shorthaul flights will close for check-in 45 minutes before departure. Customers must pass through Security 35 minutes before their flight departs and be at the gate no later than 20 minutes before departure. To ensure that flights depart on time, customers arriving late will unfortunately not be able to fly.

Check-in

The most convenient way of checking-in is Online Check-in, which can be done from your computer or your mobile phone. Online check-in opens 24 hours before your flight and enables you to choose your seats and print your boarding pass.

If you are unable to check-in online you can use one of the 14 Check-in Kiosks in our dedicated check-in area, Zone G.

Then go straight to one of the Fast Bag Drop desks to check in your luggage and once through security, enjoy the many delights of the shopping and dining options available.
