To and from Terminal 5

Driving

Terminal 5 is 15 miles west of central London. It’s easy to reach from the M4 and M25 motorways. Terminal 5 is the only Heathrow terminal with direct access from the M25.

Take Junction 14 of the M25 to reach the dedicated Terminal 5 access road. Terminal 5 is on the Western Perimeter Road.

Alternatively, from the M4, take junction 4b and follow the M25 south to junction 14.

For those using satellite navigation to reach Terminal 5, the postcode is UB7 0RF.

Dropping off passengers

There are dedicated lanes outside Terminal 5 for dropping-off passengers.

You may also unload on the terminal forecourt. But to prevent congestion, vehicles aren’t allowed to wait here. Police and airport staff will patrol the forecourts and ask waiting vehicles to move on.

Picking up passengers

Are you meeting someone from a flight? We recommend using the Short Stay car park because waiting is not permitted on the airport forecourt. Waiting vehicles will be asked to move on by police and airport staff who patrol the forecourts.

Unattended vehicles

We want your trip to be as smooth and as safe as possible. So should any vehicle be left unattended outside the terminal building, the police will instantly remove it. They’ll also make a charge for recovery.

Petrol stations

There are three petrol stations close to Heathrow:

  • Texaco on the Bath Road (A4)
  • BP at Hatton Cross, Great West Road (A30)
  • Esso on the Southern Perimeter Road
